Louis Ghewy
Hair Stylist
Louis Ghewy is a European hairstylist whose sculptural vision and acute sense of form have established him as one of fashion’s most influential hair artists.
Born in Brussels, Ghewy studied his craft in Antwerp, Belgium before relocating to London in 2011 to immerse himself in the world of hairstyling. Drawing on the subversive spirit of postmodern punk and Belgium’s avant-garde as well as the Golden Age Hollywood beauty, he refined his artistry at Vidal Sassoon and Toni + Guy.
Ghewy’s work is defined by a multilayered, conceptual approach, melding technical mastery with bold experimentation. This signature sensibility has led to collaborations with iconic houses such as Prada, Mugler, Bottega Veneta, Jacquemus, and Tom Ford. He has forged creative partnerships with photographers including Willy Vanderperre, Johnny Dufort, and Oliver Hadlee Pearch, as well as stylists Olivier Rizzo, Robbie Spencer, and Alister Mackie.
In 2019, he was welcomed into the British Fashion Council New Wave: Creatives as one of the most innovative and inspiring creative talents in the world.
